What is ChoiceDAO

Art of Choice is now part ChoiceDAO, a global Web3 community of volunteer activists coming together to fund and engage in the fight for reproductive rights. 100% of the proceeds from the primary sale and from secondary royalties go to ChoiceDAO. The ChoiceDAO community, in partnership with experts, will deploy 100% of funds to frontline nonprofits enabling access to care. NFT owners are granted access to the ChoiceDAO community and can get voting power — to inform how ChoiceDAO organizes and deploys funds.

How does it work?

Donate 0.2 (approximately $200) to reproductive rights non-profits and you will receive one NFT at random from an artist in Art of Choice.
You can donate with a credit card using NFTPay and access to your NFT will be emailed to you.
You can purchase with ETH using a non-custodial crypto wallet like Metamask.

How do NFT sales proceeds and secondary sales work?

Art of Choice is part of ChoiceDAO, a global community of volunteer activists and Web3 enthusiasts here to fund and engage in the fight for reproductive rights.
Ownership of an Art of Choice NFT will allow you to mint ChoiceDAO governance tokens which grant you the right to vote in town halls and on future proposals.
If you own an Art of Choicre NFT and would like to mint your ChoiceDAO governance tokens, please email hi@choicedao.org.
Anytime any of the Art of Choice NFTs are resold in the secondary markets, 10% of the sales price will go to ChoiceDAO providing an ongoing stream of funding from the project.

What blockchain will Art of Choice NFTs be minted on ? What about carbon emissions?

Art of Choice NFTs will be minted as ERC-721 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain which is the standard for high quality artistic NFTs. Blockchain, like all technologies such as Netflix or Amazon, uses electricity in order to operate. While it is difficult to compare the carbon footprint of an NFT with that of manufacturing and shipping physical artwork, our goal is to have a minimal or even negative environmental impact. We are partnering with two organizations (paid for by the Team, not out of auction proceeds):

We will be working with Art to Acres to calculate the carbon footprint of the auction, engage in emissions reduction measures, and donate to support permanent land conservation
We will purchase carbon offsets for the auction footprint through Aerial, a sustainability platform that tracks the carbon emissions of NFTs.
